- Job description/Background
- Provide hands-on support for the implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at the Kansas factory, including on-site IT support.
- The client is currently experiencing multiple issues during the launch phase of the Kansas factory. To ensure stable and continuous production, additional support is required-particularly in the implementation of manufacturing execution systems, including line automation and manufacturing record traceability.
- Duties and responsibilities
- Identify and define issues, determine the relevant teams and stakeholders involved, and develop response plans and system requirements.
- Document identified issues, response strategies, system requirements, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with client employees to manage and resolve engineering-related issues.
- Facilitate communication and alignment between Japanese expatriates and local Kansas employees.
- Required skills/experience
- Communication : Ability to build strong relationships and establish trust with mechanical, manufacturing, and quality engineers in both English and Japanese.
- Manufacturing Knowledge : Strong understanding of manufacturing environments, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical, factory-specific solutions.
- Preferred skills/experience
- Manufacturing Experience : Prior experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in system implementation projects, is highly desirable.
- System Requirements Definition : Capability to define system requirements to address manufacturing site challenges effectively.
- MES Knowledge : Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems, with the ability to quickly understand system operations and workflows.
