In this role, you will:Own and become the technical expert for a suite of manufacturing equipment in our semiconductor manufacturing space (Dry etch, deposition, Lithography or Thin Film area)Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues, leading repair escalations to root cause and long-term solutionsDrive the capital equipment acquisition process from requirements through installation and acceptanceDevelop and continuously improve preventive maintenance and repair proceduresLead hardware upgrades and reliability improvements to increase tool uptime and capabilityCoordinate vendor support for preventive and corrective maintenance activitiesRespond to equipment downtime events and restore tools to production safely and efficientlyPartner closely with process engineers and operators to support both volume production and R&D developmentQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field3-5+ years of experience in a high-tech, complex manufacturing or similar technical environmentStrong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independentlyHands-on experience troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical systemsAbility to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematicsExperience with capital equipment installation, qualification, or vendor coordinationStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyMotivation to grow in a hands-on engineering role and learn new technical skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience working with semiconductor or other advanced manufacturing equipmentBackground in chemical or high-hazard manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with controls systems (e.g., PLCs, sensors, motion systems)Experience with automation, data analysis, or manufacturing systems (MES)Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) or structured problem-solving (e.g., RCA, 5 Whys)Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Siemens NX)What makes this role a great fit:Opportunity to develop deep expertise in advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipmentHigh level of ownership and impact on factory uptime and performanceHands-on environment with a strong focus on problem solving and continuous improvementCollaborative team working across engineering, operations, and suppliersCandidates must be local or willing to relocate to Santa Rosa, CAThis position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S.
