This role works closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to troubleshoot process issues, optimize workflows, and support the introduction of new products into the manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate applies strong technical and analytical skills to design tooling and fixtures, improve process efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor. This position balances day-to-day sustaining engineering support with project-based work on process upgrades, equipment installations, and manufacturability improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and toolingTroubleshoot production issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actionsSupport new product introduction by evaluating designs for manufacturabilityParticipate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projectsSpecify, install, and qualify new equipment and toolingMonitor process performance metrics (yield, cycle time, scrap rate) and identify improvement opportunitiesCompletion of time studiesCollaborate with quality engineering to resolve non-conformances and support corrective action processesMaintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standardsSkills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) or equivalent work-related experience.2–5 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience, preferably welding and fabrication.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and root cause analysis toolsExperience with CAD software and manufacturing documentationStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionallyAdditional RequirementsMust adhere to all safety policies and procedures.Team player who is results-oriented and motivated to achieve high standards in every aspect of the role.Contingencies of EmploymentSuccessful completion of a background check, pre-employment drug screen and physical examination.Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, if applicable to the position.Equal Opportunity EmployerLife Line is an equal opportunity employer.
