nThe Kinetic Group is a world leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of small caliber ammunition under the iconic brands B&P, CCI, Federal Premium, Fiocchi, HEVI, Remington and Speer. nAs we continue to invest in and expand our steel case manufacturing capability, we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with hands-on experience in high-volume steel component processing.
nThis role will play a critical part in building internal expertise in steel, helping guide heat treatment, forming processes, and equipment decisions while reducing reliance on external consultants over time.
nThis position reports to the Sr. Manager of Manufacturing Engineering and is based out of our Anoka, Minnesota office.
nWhat you’ll do:
nLead development and optimization of steel processing operations, including forming and heat treatment
nProvide technical expertise in:
nAnnealing and tempering
nHeat treatment cycles and atmosphere control
nSteel drawing and forming processes
nEvaluate and recommend furnaces, forming equipment, and production systems
nPartner with external consultants and vendors to assess and implement best practices
nTroubleshoot manufacturing issues related to material behavior, defects, and process variation
nImprove process consistency in high-volume production environments
nSupport development of internal standards for steel processing and quality
nExperience you bring:
nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related field (or equivalent experience)
n5+ years of experience in high-volume steel manufacturing or processing
nHands-on experience with:
nHeat treatment (furnaces, cycles, atmosphere control)
nAnnealing and/or tempering
nSteel forming or drawing processes
nStrong understanding of steel material behavior in production environments
nYou might have:
nExperience in cold heading, wire forming, or fastener manufacturing
nBackground in Ammunition or Hunt/Shoot Industry
nEquipment selection or commissioning experience
nExperience troubleshooting material or metallurgical defects
nFamiliarity with continuous or high-throughput processing systems
nWork Environment:
nEmployee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.
nPay Range:
n$77,300.00 - $108,100.00
nThe actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.

nMinimum Education Required
