Manufacturing Engineer – Project SupportLocation: San Diego, CAOnsite/Hybrid/Remote: OnsiteDuration: 6 – 12 monthsPosition SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer – Project Support is responsible for supporting active aerospace manufacturing projects through process planning, production readiness, documentation control, and cross-functional coordination. This role works closely with project, quality, operations, and engineering teams to ensure deliverables are executed on schedule and in compliance with manufacturing and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport manufacturing deliverables for current projects, including process definition, readiness planning, and issue resolutionCoordinate with project managers, operations, quality, and engineering teams to ensure timely execution of project milestonesDevelop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process plans, and related technical recordsIdentify and resolve production issues affecting schedule, quality, or readinessParticipate in risk tracking, action item closure, and continuous improvement initiatives related to project executionRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related disciplineExperience in manufacturing engineering within aerospace or another highly regulated industryWorking knowledge of manufacturing processes, production support, engineering changes, and quality systemsDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional project environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsPrior aerospace manufacturing experienceExposure to lean manufacturing and process improvement methodsFamiliarity with ERP or MES systemsAbility to support fast-paced project-driven environmentsWork Arrangement / Engagement Notes: This role is expected to support on-site manufacturing and project activities, with potential for extension based on business need and project load.
