This position focuses on completing Manufacturing Engineering related projects with an emphasis on safe work practices, Production/Warehouse Department procedures, routings, packaging requirements, manpower requirements, standards, layout, tooling/fixtures, and equipment purchases that provide method improvements and cost reduction opportunities. Projects will include improved process flow in the fabrication/warehouse through shipping operations as well as supporting material flow and systems from suppliers to line side delivery.Key responsibilities include selecting tools and programs related to automated equipment, completing projects assigned timely, recommending tooling, equipment to assist Fabrication and Warehousing, updating Production routings, setting up operations within MRP system to manage inventory for warehouse, developing manpower requirements, understanding capital and departmental budget to assist in cost management, ensuring balanced operations and standard times, developing packaging requirements, resolving safety, quality, delivery, cost issues, designing ergonomic handling devices, performing root cause analysis, utilizing Lean Manufacturing tools, performing time studies, and developing "Make Vs.
Buy" analysis.Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in the manufacturing engineering field, proficiency with all computer applications, 3D CAD and AutoCAD software, setting standards, methods improvements, layout design, assembly tooling/fixtures, line balancing, equipment justification, developing assembly worksheets, excellent communication skills, ability to work on many projects simultaneously, high-level knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, accuracy and attention to detail, patience, persistence, and problem-solving skills, and compliance with all environmental and safety rules and practices.Hiring range is $67,600 - $84,500. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
