Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a direct hire Manufacturing Engineer position.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes for CNC machining, grinding, robotics, assembly, foundry, and powdered metal operations
- Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs, process routers, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Design and improve tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Support CNC machining operations including programming, setup, troubleshooting, and process optimization
- Prepare CAD drawings and CAM programs using MasterCAM and other engineering software
- Perform manufacturing cost estimating and quoting while reviewing material costs and ERP data
- Provide hands-on shop floor support for machining, assembly, foundry, sintering, and production teams
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Production, and Customers to troubleshoot manufacturing and product quality issues
- Support robotics applications including basic troubleshooting of Fanuc robots and collaborative robots (Cobots)
- Analyze manufacturing processes for cost reduction, quality improvements, and increased production efficiency
- Participate on cross-functional teams supporting product development and manufacturing improvements
- Assist wherever needed throughout the facility, supporting a wide variety of engineering and production initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- 2-5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Previous experience working with CNC machining, machine shops, or manufacturing operations
- Experience with CNC programming, setup, machining, MasterCAM, and GD&T
- Exposure to industrial robotics (Fanuc, Cobots, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Experience with or willingness to learn estimating, quoting, routing, and BOM creation
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Engineering, Production, Quality, and Customers
- Hands-on mindset with the willingness to work on equipment and spend significant time on the manufacturing floor
- Flexible personality that enjoys variety and supporting multiple departments
- Fixture, jig, or tooling design experience
- AutoCAD or other CAD software experience
- Heat treating, metallurgy, foundry, or powdered metal manufacturing experience
- Lean Manufacturing or cost reduction project experience
- Experience supporting assembly operations and process improvements
