Our client, a global leader in engine manufacturing and power solutions, is looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer in Colombus, IN!
This role is a 1-Year W2 contract with benefits!
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will lead end-to-end manufacturing process development, optimize equipment performance and scalable production lines, drive continuous improvement, and champion new product introduction (VPI) launch activities. This is an On-site position.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing process development for assigned projects, ensuring full alignment with safety, ergonomic, quality, and business objectives
- Apply advanced manufacturing principles to optimize equipment performance, streamline tooling solutions, and drive scalable, efficient production processes
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives using standardized manufacturing tools and structured problem-solving to reduce waste and enhance productivity
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and external resources to execute VPI launch deliverables on time while establishing standardized process documentation
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience
- Demonstrated hands-on programming and operational experience with Fanuc HandlingTool or Fanuc Arc Tool robotics software
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Direct experience supporting VPI (Value Package Introduction) or new product launch activities alongside structured continuous improvement methodologies
