Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer – MillingThis role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing professional who excels in CNC milling and thrives in a precision-driven aerospace environment. You will play a key role in new product development, process optimization, and continuous improvement for high-precision milled aerospace components. This position blends engineering, CNC programming, and shop-floor collaboration to deliver world-class manufacturing solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, optimize, and maintain CNC milling machining processes for new and legacy componentsCreate detailed CNC programs, operation sheets, and manufacturing instructions in accordance with engineering specificationsDefine operation sequences, tooling, fixturing, gauging, and machine requirementsTroubleshoot shop-floor issues related to tooling, work holding, gauging, machining, and inspectionCollaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturability and producibilityReview engineering drawings and recommend design-for-manufacturing (DFM) improvementsAssist with program prove-outs, machine-ready code development, and hands-on production supportEstimate setup times, run times, and tooling hours to support cost modeling and new business proposalsLead or contribute to continuous improvement initiativesMentor junior engineers and support skill development within the teamRequired QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must have:Education & Experience (any one of the following): Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 3+ years of relevant experienceAssociate degree with 6+ years of relevant experienceHigh School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of relevant professional experienceStrong proficiency in CNC Milling Machining, including multi-axis vertical and/or horizontal machining centersHands-on experience with machine setup and operationPreferred QualificationsIt's a plus if you also have:Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial EngineeringExperience in the aerospace industryExposure to machine automation integrationExperience with inspection of machined partsHands-on machining experience with stainless steel, titanium, and aluminumProficiency in Siemens NX CNC ProgrammingKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (Lean Six Sigma certification preferred)
