Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Mahwah, NJ | Hybrid
Employment Type: Initial 12-month contract, with potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role
Position Overview
A leading medical device manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations, process improvements, and new product introduction activities. This role will help troubleshoot production issues, improve manufacturing efficiency, and support the implementation and qualification of manufacturing equipment and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for day-to-day manufacturing operations, equipment, and processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, productivity, and cost.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), process transfers, and manufacturing process implementation.
- Assist with equipment qualification, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Quality, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to meet operational and quality objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; prior engineering experience is a plus.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and continuous improvement methods.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industry experience is preferred.
This is an initial 12-month assignment with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position.
