Manufacturing Engineer

Title: Manufacturing Engineer II

Location: Avon IN (Onsite)

Duration: 12-month

Pay Range: $40-43/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Software, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred but not required.
• Must have experience with QMS management, authoring change orders, technical writing, and leading Installation Qualifications and Installation Protocols.

Main Responsibilities

• Initiates and completes technical activities leading to new or improved products or processes for current programs, next-generation programs, and to meet strategic goals and objectives of the company.
• Prepares reports, publishes, and makes presentations to communicate findings.
• Analyzes and solves problems using basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts, including complex and advanced problems requiring innovative approaches or major technological breakthroughs.
• Applies standard engineering principles and methodologies to interpret problems, create or modify designs, draw conclusions, and recommend solutions.
• Understands engineering principles, theories, concepts, practices, and techniques. Develops specialized knowledge and applies it in leadership roles within the company.
• Incorporates business policies and procedures into task completion.
• Completes documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with business standards.
• Understands the business needs of the company and customer requirements.
• Understands the business cycle and emerging technology trends.
• Implements and maintains the effectiveness of the Quality System.
• Cultivates internal and external networks to complete tasks.
• Serves as a resource in the selection, orientation, and training of new engineers and employees.
• May lead project teams and determine project goals and objectives.
• Executes work instruction updates to ensure documents accurately reflect current processes.
• Mentors employees by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance.
• Interacts cross-functionally with internal and external customers.
• Serves as a consultant for engineering or scientific interpretations and advice on significant matters.
• Acts as a spokesperson to customers regarding the business unit's current and future capabilities.
• Develops internal and external networks to facilitate task completion.
• Demonstrates strong project management skills and provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff.
• Influences peers and occasionally first-level management.
• Plans, organizes, and prioritizes daily work to meet established schedules.
• Is responsible for writing and evaluating process, equipment, and non-product software qualifications.
• Exercises authority and judgment within defined limits to determine appropriate action.
