Manufacturing Electrical EngineerMaryville, Tennessee, United StatesThe Electrical Engineer will provide technical support to maintenance, operations, safety, and quality teams within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, restoring production flow, improving equipment reliability, and leading electrical and automation-related improvements across the finishing department.This is a 100% on-site role and ideal for an engineer who enjoys working directly on the plant floor.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide electrical engineering support to maintenance and operations, including off-shift support when neededTroubleshoot equipment and process issues to determine root cause and implement permanent solutionsDevelop and improve preventative maintenance systemsLead and manage equipment rebuilds and capital improvement projectsServe as a technical subject matter expert for department equipment and systemsSupport and promote safety, quality, and environmental initiativesAnalyze equipment and process data to identify improvement opportunitiesRequired QualificationsBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institutionMinimum 2+ years of electrical engineering experienceAt least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley preferred)Experience with AC/DC motor drivesKnowledge of industrial networking and automation communicationsExperience with power distribution systemsManufacturing experience in metals, aluminum processing, rolling mills, or similar industriesExperience with furnaces, casting equipment, shears, strip processing, or coiling systemsFamiliarity with data acquisition systems and data analyticsExperience managing and executing capital projectsStrong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
