Manufacturing Cost Engineer
Analyze OEM and Tier-1 RFQ packages, including drawings, specifications, volumes, and delivery terms, to define quotation scope and support cost estimates for automotive production programs; develop cost models by evaluating process flow, cycle time, labor, overhead, tooling, scrap, packaging, and logistics costs to support pricing; prepare and maintain APQP timing plans and coordinate with manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and logistics teams; compile and manage PPAP documentation, including process flow diagrams, PFMEA, control plans, capability studies, and dimensional reports, and submit required materials through OEM customer portals; conduct production trials and Run@Rate activities by reviewing throughput, yield, and bottlenecks, and support corrective actions; coordinate DV and PV build activities, test schedules, and approval timing to align validation events with plant launch plans and customer milestones; update quotations, costing documents, and launch records based on engineering changes, process improvements, and logistics revisions, and support continuous improvement initiatives related to scrap reduction, and manufacturing efficiency.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Material Engineering, or a related field and five years of experience.
