Insight Global is seeking a Manufacturing Coordinator to join one of our large manufacturing clients in the Richmond VA market. This position will be direct hire and will require working onsite in Colonial Heights, VA. This individual will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by coordinating materials, production planning, product specifications, and scheduling activities to ensure efficient plant execution. The Manufacturing Coordinator will serve as a key liaison between suppliers, production teams, and management, helping to translate customer requirements into actionable manufacturing plans and maintaining the resources needed to keep production running smoothly.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure materials, production components, and artwork specifications required for customer orders.
- Create and maintain job folders, job manuals, and production documentation that serve as the operational blueprint for manufacturing teams.
- Develop and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring all product specifications and material requirements are accurate and up to date.
- Input and maintain ink formulations, color specifications, and product recipes required for manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with the Manufacturing Services Manager to develop and execute weekly production schedules based on project priorities and plant capacity.
- Support production planning by determining required materials and documentation needed before jobs are released to the manufacturing floor.
