JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose This standard defines the Manufacturing Controls Engineer Job Description. Scope This standard applies to the Clanton plant of Adient.
Responsibilities and duties
* Design, develop, and supervise electrical control systems, equipment and machinery.
* Installation and technical support of PLC hardware and software.
* Programmable knowledge in PLC (Siemens preferred).
* Assist with needs assessment for computer and software requirements in all areas of the facility.
* Assist with PLC and PC training as required.
* Designs, codes, tests and debugs simple programs.
* Maintains and documents programs.
* Assists higher level programmer/analyst/engineer with design work.
* Follows established methods and procedures.
* Responds to disruptions of production systems in a timely and appropriate manner.
* Helps provide solutions in making technical logic meet the needs of the users.
