Plaza Del Amo Animal Hospital, one of South Bay's most established and trusted veterinary hospitals, is seeking an experienced Managing Veterinarian to join our highly collaborative, multi-doctor team in beautiful Torrance, CA.

As Managing Veterinarian, you'll play a central role in shaping the culture, clinical standards, and growth of our team. You'll oversee day-to-day hospital operations, support and mentor associate veterinarians, and serve as a key point of contact between the medical team and hospital leadership. Our environment is deeply collaborative — we're looking for a leader who leads by example and is genuinely invested in the success of those around them.

Who We're Looking For?

We're seeking a confident, experienced veterinarian ready to step into a leadership role in a fast-paced, well-equipped environment. Ideal candidates will have:

  • 5+ years of clinical experience , with strong surgical and dental skills preferred
  • Proven leadership ability — experience managing or mentoring a veterinary team is a strong plus
  • A generous, collaborative spirit — someone who lifts up the team and fosters a positive, high‑performing culture
  • Excellent communication skills and a client‑first mindset
  • A commitment to upholding our AAHA‑accredited standards of care
  • Base salary $180,000 - $200,000 (depending on experience)
  • Up to $30,000 signing bonus
  • Production based bonuses

  • Full in‑house laboratory
  • Advanced ultrasound imaging
  • Therapeutic cold laserLarge boarding facility accommodating up to 60 dogs with a dedicated cat boarding area overlooking the lobby – includes a fully staffed boarding team!
  • 2 on‑site groomers
  • Spacious break room and dedicated DVM office
