YOUR TYPICAL DAY...
Advise executive leadership and business units on corporate, regulatory, transactional, and operational legal mattersDraft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, lending agreements, and corporate legal documentsPartner with Human Resources, Marketing, Lending, Investments, Insurance, and other departments to provide practical legal guidanceManage outside litigation counsel while protecting the organization's legal interests and minimizing riskSupervise legal staff while helping lead the Legal Services Department and supporting corporate governance initiatives
YOU HAVE...
Licensed to practice law in Texas (or eligible for reciprocity)6+ years of legal experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or highly regulated industryExperience supporting financial institutions, banking, credit unions, financial services, or banking regulatory agencies preferredPrevious leadership experience supervising attorneys, paralegals, or legal staffStrong business acumen with the ability to balance legal risk while supporting organizational objectivesOutstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with a collaborative, service-oriented mindset
