Managing Director, Washington National Tax

Job Summary

The BDO Washington National Tax (WNT) practice provides technical leadership and support to firm client service professionals and alliance firms on tax matters, new legislation, Treasury guidance, and key tax issue articles. The Managing Director, Washington National Tax will collaborate with WNT professionals and tax leadership to drive communication efficiencies.

Job Duties

• Applies knowledge and expertise to assist internal and external clients.
• Coordinates with NTO, tax leadership and BDO firm leadership to execute the tax communication strategy.
• Assists in developing and implementing firm‑wide training programs for staff in the principal area of expertise.
• Other duties as required.

Education

Bachelor’s degree, required.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Juris Doctorate or Master’s in Accounting or Taxation, preferred.

Experience

• Fifteen (15) or more years of professional experience in tax technical and communication information, preferred.

License/Certifications

• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) (or equivalent), preferred.

Software

• Various tax applications and research tools, required.

Compensation

Individual salaries are determined after consideration of numerous factors, including qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $250,000 - $500,000
Maryland Range: $250,000 - $500,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $250,000 - $500,000
