This is a senior Managing Director-level leadership opportunity within the independent Credit Risk function of a leading global financial institution, offering full team ownership and credit authority across a broad Real Assets portfolio spanning Energy, Infrastructure, Data Centers, Trade Commodity Finance, and Real Estate. The role carries genuine enterprise-level responsibility — overseeing a team of 7 Senior Credit Officers, setting risk appetite, defining credit policy, and ensuring that all credit risks across the Americas Real Assets perimeter are properly assessed, measured, and managed at origination and through ongoing monitoring. With deep involvement in regulatory governance, New Product Committees, and emerging risk identification, this is the right seat for a seasoned Real Assets credit leader with 15+ years of project finance and asset-based finance experience who combines strong independent judgment with collaborative instincts and the executive presence to drive meaningful outcomes across a globally integrated risk organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide supervisory leadership for the Real Assets credit risk team including recruitment, training, performance management, and day-to-day oversight of 7 Senior Credit Officers across Energy, Infrastructure, Data Centers, Trade Commodity Finance, and Real Estate
• Ensure that credit risks originated and managed across the Real Assets scope are properly assessed, measured, and managed at origination and through a robust ongoing monitoring framework
• Contribute to the definition of credit policy guidelines and the institution's overall risk appetite across the Real Assets perimeter; participate in setting the global risk appetite for financing initiatives
• Identify and understand emerging risks in partnership with business lines to ensure risks are well understood and adequately mitigated across both vanilla and highly structured project or asset-based financing
• Maintain current awareness of the US regulatory environment and its developments; contribute to regional governance including policies and procedures and ensure the team understands and complies with all applicable requirements
• Participate in New Product Committees to assess new business initiatives and ensure all relevant credit risks have been identified and appropriate governance is in place
• Participate in various projects to enhance governance and comply with evolving regulatory requirements
• Foster a strong partnership with business lines, legal, compliance, and other internal stakeholders to achieve the best possible risk outcomes
