Company: Private-equity-backed technology group -1000 experts
The opportunity
We are supporting an established German technology group that is investing in the development of a new SAP Supply Chain and Manufacturing division.
Following significant private-equity investment, the business is entering its next phase of growth and is now hiring a Managing Consultant to build and lead its SAP IBP capability.
This is a genuine practice-building opportunity. You will combine senior customer advisory, programme leadership, business development and team management—creating the SAP IBP proposition rather than inheriting an established structure.
Your responsibilities
- Define and develop the company’s SAP IBP offering, go-to-market strategy and delivery standards.
- Lead complex SAP IBP and supply-chain planning transformation programmes.
- Advise senior executives and C-level stakeholders on planning strategy and technology.
- Take ownership of solution direction across SAP IBP and its integration with the wider SAP landscape.
- Identify and develop new opportunities through existing customer relationships.
- Lead presales activities, proposals and customer presentations.
- Recruit, mentor and manage a high-performing team of SAP IBP consultants.
- Support the wider growth of the SAP Supply Chain and Manufacturing practice.
Your experience
- At least eight years of experience within supply-chain planning.
- Several years of hands‑on SAP IBP project or programme experience.
- Deep expertise in at least two SAP IBP areas: Demand, Supply, Response or Inventory.
- Proven experience leading complex SAP transformation projects or programmes.
- Strong senior stakeholder management and C-level advisory capability.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and the ambition to build and grow a consulting capability.
- Fluent German and strong English language skills.
Additional experience
The following would strengthen your application:
- A successful background in business development and presales.
- Experience recruiting, managing and developing consulting teams.
- Broad knowledge of SAP SCM and integration with SAP S/4HANA.
- Build a new SAP IBP capability with genuine ownership and senior visibility.
- Join a business with confirmed investment, customer demand and ambitious growth plans.
- Benefit from the stability and market reach of an established technology group.
- Work within an entrepreneurial environment where decisions can be made quickly.
- Shape the strategy, team and delivery approach from the beginning.
- Access structured training, professional development and clear progression opportunities.
This is an opportunity for an experienced SAP IBP leader who wants to move beyond project delivery and build a successful consulting business with their own signature.
