Responsibilities
- Receive large shipments and match the contents with the details on the invoice.
- Verify the PO or BOL ensuring the product matches the items and quantity shipped.
- Ensure goods are stocked safely in the warehouse.
- Document shipment details such as weight, number of parcels, duty charges, and other parameters.
- Monitor net expenses and related data for goods shipped to consumers.
- Identify issues with shortages, damaged merchandise, or demand, and adjust stock accordingly.
- Maintain location-to-location transfer reports.
- File freight claims with inbound freight lines.
- Record and report all inbound freight discrepancies.
- Staff and supervise the warehouse receiving team; train and develop associates.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse receiving.
- Ability to handle multiple large deliveries.
- Ability to create and print invoices.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, preferably Outlook and Excel.
- Good communication and organizational skills for maintaining records of invoices, bills of lading, POs, etc.
- Self‑motivated and a team player.
- Proactive with initiative to perform tasks as required.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and follow‑through skills.
- Reliable, time‑management, detail‑oriented, and accurate in providing information to associates.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as a forklift, order picker, and electric pallet jack.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet cutoff periods and deadlines.
Environment
- Job duties may require frequent standing and occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds.
- May encounter extreme hot or cold climates and dusty conditions while pulling product orders.
- Might be required to complete annual physical inventory.
