Responsibilities

  • Receive large shipments and match the contents with the details on the invoice.
  • Verify the PO or BOL ensuring the product matches the items and quantity shipped.
  • Ensure goods are stocked safely in the warehouse.
  • Document shipment details such as weight, number of parcels, duty charges, and other parameters.
  • Monitor net expenses and related data for goods shipped to consumers.
  • Identify issues with shortages, damaged merchandise, or demand, and adjust stock accordingly.
  • Maintain location-to-location transfer reports.
  • File freight claims with inbound freight lines.
  • Record and report all inbound freight discrepancies.
  • Staff and supervise the warehouse receiving team; train and develop associates.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse receiving.
  • Ability to handle multiple large deliveries.
  • Ability to create and print invoices.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, preferably Outlook and Excel.
  • Good communication and organizational skills for maintaining records of invoices, bills of lading, POs, etc.
  • Self‑motivated and a team player.
  • Proactive with initiative to perform tasks as required.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and follow‑through skills.
  • Reliable, time‑management, detail‑oriented, and accurate in providing information to associates.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as a forklift, order picker, and electric pallet jack.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet cutoff periods and deadlines.

Environment

  • Job duties may require frequent standing and occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds.
  • May encounter extreme hot or cold climates and dusty conditions while pulling product orders.
  • Might be required to complete annual physical inventory.
