Manager Strategy Operations

Our client is looking for a high-potential recent MBA graduate, who wants more than a traditional post-MBA role.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the President and senior leadership in a fast-growing business $100M+ transportation organization, serving as a highly analytical, versatile problem solver across strategy, operations, finance, pricing, logistics, and client solutions .

Think of this as a blend of Strategy & Operations, Operational FP&A, internal consulting, and Chief of Staff-style special projects , but as an individual contributor with significant exposure and influence.

What You'll Do

• Tackle ambiguous, high-priority business problems and turn them into actionable recommendations
• Build financial models, pricing analyses, business cases, and decision-support tools
• Support operational FP&A, forecasting, and performance analysis
• Work directly with leadership on strategic and ad hoc initiatives
• Help develop solutions and recommendations for clients
• Create executive-level presentations and communicate findings clearly
• Attend select meetings as a proxy for senior leadership and drive follow-through
• Explore practical uses of AI and technology, including analytical and HTML-based pricing tools
• Learn the logistics and infrastructure industry from experienced operators

What We're Looking For

• MBA or 3+ years of professional experience post graduate with a strong business acumen
• Prior experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic finance, FP&A, operations, supply chain, logistics, or a similarly analytical environment
• Comfortable solving problems where the answer or process is not already defined
• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
• Ability to distill complex information into clear recommendations
• Strong presentation and executive communication skills
• High degree of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and resilience
• Comfortable moving between strategic thinking and hands-on execution
• Industry experience is helpful but not required

Location & Travel

• Houston/Spring, TX: In office with approximately 25% travel
• Denver, CO: In office with approximately 50% travel, primarily domestic

Compensation: 100-150K Base Salary, depending on experience

For a strong post-MBA profile, base compensation can reach approximately $150,000 , depending on experience and qualifications, plus a discretionary bonus .
