Role Overview

The Nurse Manager creates a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment by supervising nursing and ancillary staff, ensuring high-quality care, and fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Leads daily unit operations, schedules staff, and coordinates activities to meet organizational goals.
• Builds and maintains a skilled team, providing coaching, evaluating personnel, and addressing educational needs.
• Ensures compliance with safety, regulatory standards, and quality of care through audits and data analysis.
• Communicates regularly with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care, resolve issues, and develop individualized care plans.
• Manages staffing requirements, approves overtime, and maintains optimal patient throughput and safety protocols.
• Performs emergency preparedness, monitors critical processes, and facilitates a positive work environment fostering open communication.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred.
• RN licensure in the practice state; BLS certification required.
• Preferred: 5+ years of technical experience, 1+ year leadership, 2+ years acute care nursing, and national specialty certification.
