Manager - Risk Process & Controls

Responsibilities

One of Kforce's most successful financial services clients in Boston is in search of a Risk & Controls Manager to oversee fund controls, audits, vendor relationships, and operational improvement initiatives. This role is hybrid, 3 days a week, in the office. This client offers salary, strong benefits, vacation days, 401(k), and other company discounts.

• Manage fund audit cycles and coordinate with internal teams, auditors, and external service providers
• Maintain policies, procedures, governance documentation, and process maps
• Support new fund and strategy launches, fund wind-downs, and other lifecycle activities
• Oversee custody processes, operational controls, and risk-remediation initiatives
• Manage Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery testing and follow-up activities
• Monitor vendor performance, scorecards, issues, invoices, and selected RFP processes
• Lead process improvements and strategic projects across the organization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
• CPA, CFA, Big Four experience, and process-mapping or workflow tools are strongly preferred
• 5+ years of relevant financial services, asset management, fund operations, or public accounting experience
• Knowledge of fund operations, custody processes, audits, and operational controls
• Ability to independently manage multiple cross-functional workstreams
• Strong communication, organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
