Take the next step in your career with us!We are seeking a high-impact Manager of Project Estimating to lead and elevate our estimating function across a diverse portfolio of energy and infrastructure projects. This role owns the development, review, and execution of capital cost estimates—from early-stage concept through detailed design—ensuring alignment with business objectives and market conditions.
You will partner closely with engineering, project development, and leadership teams to shape project strategy, evaluate design alternatives, and drive value through data-driven decision-making and value engineering. Employees in this role develop, interpret, and execute policy objectives and standards applicable to estimating activities. Successful candidates work with other project team members to assess project risk and cost exposure, during the development and execution phases.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Works collaboratively with early stage project managers, to determine project priorities and work plans required to meet corporate objectives with limited estimating resourcesManages Engineering and Construction department estimating resources, to provide effective estimating support company-widePerforms project due diligence, including assessment of costs for design options and project optimizationPrepares capital cost estimatesObtains commitments from early stage project managers, as necessary, to support project estimating schedulesDetermines necessary procedure or process requirements for estimating group, and coordinates development and implementation of sameStays current with technology and industry evolution, in order to assure that project capital estimates anticipate the correct market conditionsPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's DegreeExperience: 8+ yearsSupervisor/Management Experience: 2+ yearsNextEra Energy offers a wide range of benefits to support our employees and their eligible family members.
