Description Summary:
The Manager – Accounting supervises multiple account ants to ensure accurate & timely financial data for the client’s corporate staff.
The duties listed below are the essential functions of this position, and they may change as the needs of the company demand. All associates are expected to do what is necessary to get the work done and to cooperate fully with their supervisor’s requests for additional or altered duties.
- Liaises with client’s corporate staff.
- Directly manages Staff and Senior Accountants including recruiting, onboarding, development, performance management, corrective action, and employee coaching in consultation with the Director of ProfessionalAccountingServices and HR.
- Monitor compliance with established internal and external procedures tomaintainconsistency and accuracy.
- Monitorworkloadand special requests todeterminefeasibility, deadlines, workloadequityand efficiency.
- Maintain professional and responsive communication with clients and internal team members
- Leverage approved AI-enabled tools and automation technologies to improve efficiency,identifyanomalies, support reconciliations, draft communications, summarize financial trends, and enhance the accuracy and timeliness of accounting processes whilemaintainingdata security and compliance standards.
- Supervise sales, use, & occupancy tax returns.
- Perform periodic reviews of working papers, income statements, and related accounting schedules to verify accuracy and adherence toestablishedstandards.
- Coordinate training for new employees anddeterminetraining needs for existing employees.
- Handle special projects and new initiatives as needed.
- Experience in authoring and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Work Instructions (SWI). In addition to SOPs and SWI, you will also need to be able to conduct a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and issue notifications and proper follow up for After Action Report (AAR).

Education/Training/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountingor a closely related fieldrequired; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- 5 or more years of progressive accounting experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role inAccountingisrequired.
- ProficiencyusingAccountingsoftware packages such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, QuickBooks, Peachtree Accountingrequired; knowledge of M3 proprietary software preferred.
- Prior experience in Hospitality orcustomer facingrole preferred.
