Manager - Patient Transport
Job Summary
Manages the daily operations of Patient Transport Services, including staff supervision, scheduling, equipment management, productivity, and customer service. Ensures timely patient transportation and compliance with quality, safety, operational, and financial standards. Develops and implements best practices to optimize service delivery based on patient volume and organizational needs.

Responsibilities
- Oversees daily operations of Patient Transport Services, ensuring efficient and timely transportation of patients throughout the facility.
- Supervises transportation supervisors and staff, including staffing, scheduling, performance management, and workflow coordination.
- Manages staffing, productivity, and operational performance based on patient volume, established metrics, benchmarks, and best practices.
- Oversees the maintenance, availability, and appropriate use of transportation equipment.
- Monitors operational reports and financial performance and participates in budget planning and management.
- Develops and implements processes to improve operational efficiency, service quality, patient safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborates with departments throughout the facility to coordinate patient transport needs and support an efficient continuum of care.
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Physical and Environmental Demands
Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, occasional handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment, frequent exposure to bio-hazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations, occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, occasional climbing, occasional crawling, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, occasional reaching, constant sitting, frequent standing, occasional twisting, and frequent walking.
