About the Role
A well-capitalized, PE backed power generation platform is seeking a Manager / Senior Manager, Project Finance to join its growing investment and project finance team in New York.
The company is developing and investing in a scalable portfolio of clean, firm power generation projects across North America, with a focus on delivering reliable, baseload power to the grid.
This individual will play a key role across project finance, M&A, and development economics, with significant ownership of financial modeling, transaction execution, diligence, and investment analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Own, build, and maintain project and enterprise financial models supporting development, investment, and financing decisions
- Evaluate and execute project acquisitions, development partnerships, joint ventures, and other investment opportunities
- Support execution of tax equity, project debt, and corporate financings, including transaction modeling, diligence, documentation, and third-party consultant management
- Lead financial and risk analysis to support project development and investment decisions
- Support offtake strategy, including pricing analysis, RFP submissions, commercial structuring, and contract evaluation
- Prepare investment recommendations, transaction materials, and financial analysis for senior management and the Board
- Work closely with development, engineering, commercial, and external partners to evaluate project assumptions, economics, and risk
- Over time, mentor and develop junior members of the finance team and take increasing ownership of transaction execution
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in renewable energy project finance, investments, M&A, or related transaction execution
- Strong preference for candidates with buy-side experience at an IPP, infrastructure investor, private equity fund, tax equity investor, or similar principal investing platform
- Demonstrated experience owning financial models and managing diligence across closed financing and/or investment transactions
- Experience with tax equity and renewable energy project finance strongly preferred
- Recent transaction experience within the U.S. renewable energy market
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly analytical, curious, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-growing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related discipline
Compensation
Competitive base salary plus annual bonus and benefits, commensurate with experience.
This is a New York-based hybrid position.
