Manager of Machine Learning Engineering

Leading a team of Machine Learning Engineers, the full-time Manager of Machine Learning Engineering will manage the development of platforms and infrastructure for machine learning models, focusing on real-time inference and streaming data systems in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Manage and develop a team of 4-6 Machine Learning Engineers, including hiring and performance management Set quarterly goals and ensure consistent delivery against product roadmaps and operational excellence Provide technical leadership in developing ML platforms and frameworks, guiding engineering practices and system reliability Required qualifications 2+ years of management experience with direct oversight of engineering teams 6+ years of backend software engineering experience, including 3 years of hands-on Python experience Experience in building and operating machine learning systems in production Strong understanding of software quality, reliability, and production operations Familiarity with cloud platforms and machine learning tools such as AWS, GCP, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
