Managing a team of content development staff, the full-time Manager of Content Development will oversee the licensing, acquisition, and evaluation of journals and books for APA's discovery solutions in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Oversee staff performance and personnel-related activities for the Content Development team Develop best practices for identifying and acquiring appropriate content for psychology-related databases Negotiate coverage and license agreements with publishers to ensure efficient content processing Required qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred At least 5 years of staff supervision in scholarly or professional publishing 3-5 years of experience in contract negotiation, particularly in content licensing agreements Experience with copyright and/or Creative Commons licenses Proficiency in vendor/production systems and web/app-based search systems
