Overview
Responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive compensation programs, including base pay structures, job architectures, and pay policies, that support internal equity, market competitiveness, and organizational effectiveness. Responsible for the annual compensation cycle, market benchmarking and pay equity analyses, and ensures full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities
- Develops, documents, and maintains company compensation policies and programs including base pay and pay ranges, pay grades, and job architectures.
- Conducts market salary analysis and benchmarking against industry standards to ensure market total compensation alignment.
- Leads the annual evaluation and compensation cycle, including merit increases. Provides guidance on job evaluations, leveling and internal equity.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and conducts pay equity audits to eliminate disparities.
- Analyze compensation data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Supervise the daily operation of the department or team.
- Oversee direct reports to ensure timely completion of duties and responsibilities.
- Perform all counseling, evaluations, and supervisor-related functions timely.
- Collaborate with direct reports to identify development goals and support professional growth.
- Ensure documentation is provided by direct reports to keep worker files current and complete.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required to have Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business, finance, or related field.
- Required minimum 5 years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or related HR specialty.
- Required minimum 3 years in a cross-functional human resources leadership or senior level role.
- Required strong experience analyzing data, performing market benchmarking, and managing spreadsheets and HCM systems (PeopleSoft).
- Required understanding of compensation theories, labor laws, and job evaluation methods.
- Required experience with state and federal employment, wage, and hour laws and regulations.
- Strong partnership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to explain, guide, and influence business leaders and employees with complex compensation policies.
- Highly preferred advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (formulas, including VLOOKUP and IF, macros, pivot tables, and other features).
- Highly preferred experience serving a large employee population (2,500+ employees) located in multiple states and supporting compliance with state and federal laws.
- Preferred previous experience in a home health or hospice setting.
- Oral and written communication skills; fluency in English; active listening.
- Demonstrated intermediate technology skills, especially MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- In-office attendance is essential to achieve Enhabit objectives (except for designated full-time remote positions).
