An inclusive and diverse workforce strengthens us and allows for a collaborative environment to solve the challenges that face our industry today and in the future.Job DutiesManage the team that develops and coordinates the ERCOT Large Load planning and Batch studies, develop transmission system upgrades costing from $50 million to over $1 billionLeads and develops Large Load Batch Zero process and subsequent studies, identify Large Load allocation for near-term and recommend actionable transmission projects to address long-term reliability issue.Controls departmental budget to achieve financial goalsEvaluates and recommends transmission system upgrades to resolve reliability criteria violations or improve the economic efficiency of the ERCOT SystemOversees steady state power flow contingency and congestion management plan analysisStructures appropriate planning studies and sensitivity analyses to determine the need for improvements and evaluates proposed projects, including technical and financial analyses to perform the functions listed aboveCoordinate with cross-functional teams and matrixed work efforts that align Planning, Interconnection and Network Modeling on Large Load interconnection policy, study standards, and implementation practices.Develops new or revised transmission planning techniques and processes to meet system and market needs; recommends protocol or procedural changes for transmission planning mattersLeads and/or represents ERCOT in technical committees and subcommittees and state and national policy groups such as the North American Reliability Council (NERC)Represents ERCOT in stakeholder forums, committees, and working groupsServes as expert witness on ERCOT transmission planning and Large Load integration mattersRequired ExperienceRequires minimum 8 years job related work experience and 2 years in a leadership role in excess of degree requirements.
