The Manager, Inside Plant (ISP) Engineering leads the design, implementation, and delivery of in-building communications infrastructure across data center and mission-critical facilities. This role is responsible for structured cabling systems, MDF/IDF environments, racks, pathways, signal systems, and life-safety technologies, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in compliance with industry standards.
As a player-coach leader, the Manager oversees a team of technical specialists while working closely with construction, operations, network engineering, and external contractors. The role establishes engineering standards, drives quality and commissioning efforts, and supports scalable infrastructure deployments across multiple campuses and projects.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related field
10+ years of experience in structured cabling, inside plant engineering, low-voltage infrastructure, or data center construction
3+ years of experience leading technical teams, contractors, and infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of fiber and copper cabling, MDF/IDF environments, racks, pathways, raceways, and physical network infrastructure
Experience managing vendors, project budgets, schedules, and quality assurance programs
Familiarity with industry standards including TIA, BICSI, NEC, and other low-voltage design frameworks
Experience reviewing engineering drawings, commissioning activities, testing documentation, and as-built records
Proficiency with design and documentation tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or Visio -Experience supporting data centers, mission-critical facilities, hyperscale campuses, or large infrastructure projects
Familiarity with DAS, ERRCS/BDA, in-building wireless systems, and life-safety technologies
Experience with high-density fiber environments, MPO/MTP cabling, and AI/GPU infrastructure deployments
Knowledge of structured cabling testing and commissioning methodologies, including OTDR and fiber certification
Experience developing engineering standards, SOPs, QA/QC programs, and asset management processes
Experience supporting multiple concurrent construction projects across geographically distributed sites
BICSI RCDD, PMP, OSHA 30, FOA, or similar industry certifications
Experience working in greenfield, retrofit, or live operational environments
