Our Manager, Inpatient Applications, will oversee an application team’s strategic direction and management at Xtensys.

The Role
Work Arrangement: This role, although mostly remote, may require onsite support within Hospitals, Clinics or Business centers that align with project implementation timelines.
This role involves leveraging expertise in Epic applications to optimize workflows, improve patient care, and manage complex projects.
Your Mission
Lead a high-performing team supporting Epic Clin Doc/Stork, Orders/Bugsy, ASAP, Willow Inpatient and other third parties, including but not limited to Elsevier, Centricity and Obix. You will foster client and vendor relationships and effectively manage change initiatives to align with organizational goals.
What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
- Leverage expertise in Epic Inpatient Applications and other thirdparty applications to optimize workflows, improve patient care, and manage complex projects
- Lead a highperforming team, foster relationships with vendors, and effectively manage change initiatives to align with organizational goals.
- Oversee the strategic direction and management of the application team.
- Leverage knowledge of Epic Foundation and Epic applications to optimize workflows and improve patient care.
- Manage complex projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to timelines and budgets
- Foster strong relationships with other Xtensys leaders, customers, and thirdparty vendors to maximize the value of investments.
- Effectively manage change initiatives, minimizing disruption and maximizing adoption
- Partner with connect program manager to assist in connect program development.

Key Qualifications & Attributes
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Information Technology, Business, Health Administration, Engineering, or a related field; or an Associate’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strategic Leadership & Innovation: Proven ability to challenge the status quo, facilitate creative brainstorming, and foster an environment where novel solutions and fresh perspectives are encouraged.
- Change Management Champion: Adept at recognizing shifting organizational needs and proactively pivoting strategies to meet evolving healthcare and customer standards.
- EndtoEnd Project Mastery: Deep expertise in project management concepts and methodologies—from defining scope, timelines, and milestones to managing resources and risk across complex implementations.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration: Exceptional relationship builder with a track record of inspiring peers, leading project sessions, and seamlessly aligning crossdepartmental and external partners.
- Tool & Documentation Proficiency: Handson experience developing key PM artifacts, including Scoping Documents, Communication Plans, Mitigation Strategies, SBARs, and comprehensive Testing Documentation.
- Prioritization & Agility: Superior ability to manage competing initiatives, keep projects on track, and balance immediate technical needs with longterm strategic goals.
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Information Technology, Business, Health Administration, Engineering, or a related field; or an Associate’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Epic certification in one of the following is preferred: Epic Clin Doc/Stork, Orders/Bugsy, ASAP or Willow Inpatient.
Travel Requirements
- This position requires up to 25% travel to align with project milestone and Xtensys needs.
Physical Readiness
- This position, although mostly remote may require onsite support within Hospitals, Clinics or Business centers that align with project implementation timelines.
