James Search Group is partnering with a leading global insurance carrier to hire a Senior Infrastructure Manager for their Manhattan office. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll own the performance, resilience, and evolution of enterprise infrastructure across both on-prem and cloud environments.
You'll play a key role in shaping infrastructure strategy while staying close to the technology—driving architecture decisions, supporting complex systems, and leading modernization initiatives across data center, cloud, and disaster recovery platforms.
Oversee daily operations of enterprise infrastructure, ensuring high availability, stability, and performance Design and implement scalable solutions across on-prem and Microsoft Azure environments Lead modernization initiatives including upgrades, cloud adoption, and disaster recovery enhancements Act as a senior escalation point for complex incidents, driving root cause analysis and resolution Manage data center infrastructure including virtualization, storage, backup, and recovery platforms Ensure infrastructure meets security, audit, and regulatory requirements
VMware | Microsoft Azure | Zerto | Azure Site Recovery | Commvault | Azure Backup | ServiceNow (CMDB/ITOM) | SolarWinds | PagerDuty | vROps | Citrix | AVD | Windows Server
Strong background across data center operations, virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery
Experience working across hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
Proven track record delivering infrastructure transformation initiatives
Experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated environments
Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM/CMDB platforms
