The opportunity
In this strategic role, the Global OD Talent Partner SMD/Yarns serves as a strategic advisor and facilitator to align the organization’s global talent strategies with key business objectives. Embedded within a specific business sector, you will collaborate closely with business and HR leaders to implement and drive initiatives that support the performance, development, engagement, and retention of top talent—fostering a culture of performance, continuous development, and inclusion. You will also play a key role in ensuring the standardization and consistency of talent management processes across regions, ensuring alignment with global frameworks and best practices.
The role
Strategic Alignment
- Partner with business leaders and HR to understand sector-specific goals and translate them into targeted talent strategies.
- Implement core talent management processes within the sector while ensuring consistency with global standards and frameworks.
- Partner with leaders and HR to support talent-related change initiatives (e.g., restructuring, culture shifts, or transformation projects).
- Champion organizational agility and resilience through coaching and strategic support.
Talent & Leadership Development
- Facilitate and support the implementation of global talent and leadership programs within the sector.
- Identify capability gaps and collaborate with the learning and development team to address them.
- Act as a thought partner and coach to business leaders and managers, providing advice on talent development and team effectiveness.
- Promote mentoring and peer development initiatives within the business.
Organizational Development
- Support the annual succession planning process by identifying critical roles, assessing talent readiness, and developing actionable plans to build internal pipelines.
- Track and monitor progress on development plans for successors and high-potential talent.
- Guide leaders through the performance management cycle, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide insights and coaching to drive a high-performance culture.
Employee Engagement
- Analyze engagement data and partner with leaders to identify themes and drive targeted actions.
- Champion an inclusive and supportive work environment that promotes well-being and employee voice.
The requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in talent management, organizational development, or HR business partnering roles.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating talent and leadership programs and processes at a business unit or global level.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence and partner with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Experience in change management and organizational effectiveness a strong asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Global or matrixed organization experience preferred.
