Manager, Finance Risk ManagementFinance Risk Management (FRM), functioning as the business risk office for Capital One's Finance division, leads robust and proactive risk management programs. As a Manager in FRM your role will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work autonomously, identify areas of opportunity, and manage changing priorities. This role supports Finance business teams by applying risk and control standards, ensuring adherence to regulatory and Enterprise requirements, aligning the organization with leading practices, and cultivating an environment of strong risk management.

The role includes a focus on supporting Finance teams through Capital One's dynamic change management agenda, including managing critical risk activities related to acquisition and integration efforts.As a Risk Advisor within Finance Risk Management it is essential that you have strong problem solving, integrative thinking, judgment, and communication skills for success. Additionally, building partnerships with multiple business stakeholders across Finance, Finance Risk Management, peer risk groups and teammates, while adapting to and managing change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, are key for this role.Job Responsibilities:Promote proactive risk management initiatives to reduce the residual risk within the businessLead FRM's engagement activities on process level assessments, internal audits, and regulatory commitments for assigned areasDevelop and implement risk management framework for major enterprise change initiativesDrive risk management initiatives to completion and execute roadmaps that deliver improved risk management practices, working with stakeholders to solve complex problems under tight deadlinesProvide regular and open communication for transparency and awareness of progress and impedimentsStay current on understanding effective risk management, process and control effectiveness strategiesProactively understand Finance organizational risk profiles and identify strategic and emerging risksManage work across organizational lines to address competing priorities and achieve resultsCommunicate with and influence leadership on key process risks and actions neededBuild and leverage productive relationships with Finance department stakeholders to promote a strong operationally resilient posture and act as a change agentBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or military experienceAt least 5 years of experience in Risk Management, or Regulatory Compliance, or Audit, or Accounting, or a combinationAt least 3 years of experience working in Financial ServicesAt least 3 years of project management experiencePreferred Qualifications:Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Accounting, or Finance or Economics6+ years of experience in risk management within the banking or financial services industryProject Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certificationCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skillsAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Manager, Capital Markets & RiskRichmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Capital Markets & RiskCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
