Onsite Contract IT & Technology

The Manager, Enterprise Technology is responsible for helping lead the reliability, security, scalability, and cost effectiveness of the company’s enterprise technology environment. This is a strong step-up opportunity for a high-potential technology operator who has successfully owned meaningful parts of enterprise IT and is ready to expand into broader enterprise leadership. The role includes Microsoft 365, infrastructure and end-user computing, identity and access services, NetSuite, Kantata, Boomi and enterprise integrations, managed service providers, and security operations execution. The leader will combine practical technical judgment, hands‑on operational discipline, vendor accountability, and the ability to build structure as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mature enterprise infrastructure, endpoint, cloud, network, collaboration, and technology operations strategy and performance.
  • Lead Microsoft 365 operations, governance, licensing optimization, collaboration services, and identity and access management.
  • Provide operational leadership for NetSuite and Kantata, including administration, support, vendor management, service performance, and technology roadmap coordination with business stakeholders.
  • Own the Boomi platform, enterprise integration operations, API and integration standards, and the reliability of data movement between enterprise systems.
  • Help establish and mature enterprise architecture principles, technology standards, lifecycle plans, and solution review processes.
  • Manage MSP and strategic technology vendors through defined service levels, performance measures, escalation processes, and commercial accountability.
  • Execute security operations in partnership with the vCISO, including security tooling operations, monitoring partners, vulnerability remediation, access controls, and operational incident response.
  • Lead business continuity, disaster recovery, resiliency, backup, and technology recovery planning and testing.
  • Build service management disciplines, operating metrics, documentation, automation, and repeatable support processes.
  • Plan and manage technology operating budgets, contracts, renewals, licensing, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Partner with Enterprise Applications & Delivery, Business Platform Engineering, Data & AI, and line-of-business leaders on dependencies, environments, integrations, and operational handoffs.

Does Not Own

  • Line-of-business process decisions
  • Business requirements or outcome ownership

  • Grow into the CIO’s primary leader for day-to-day enterprise technology operations, with increasing ownership for standards, service performance, and operational decision-making.
  • Build a service‑oriented team and partner ecosystem with clear ownership, standards, metrics, and escalation paths.
  • Reduce operational dependence on the CIO over time by developing sound judgment, making timely decisions, and escalating material business, risk, or investment tradeoffs.
  • Balance reliability and control with the speed and flexibility required by a growing, acquisition‑oriented organization.
  • Communicate technology risks, service performance, costs, and priorities clearly to business and executive stakeholders, with increasing confidence at senior leadership levels.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive enterprise technology, infrastructure, applications operations, security operations, or IT service leadership experience.
  • Direct or significant shared ownership of Microsoft 365, identity and access management, endpoint, cloud, network, or enterprise infrastructure services.
  • Experience supporting or managing enterprise systems and SaaS platforms; NetSuite and Kantata experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with integration platforms, integration operations, APIs, or enterprise architecture standards; Boomi experience is preferred.
  • Experience managing or coordinating MSPs, security operations partners, vendors, contracts, budgets, or service‑level performance.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity operations, resilience, incident response, vulnerability management, and access controls.
  • Strong operational judgment, learning agility, financial discipline, communication skills, and ability to lead through ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability to build repeatable processes, improve service discipline, and create structure where roles, standards, or handoffs are still developing.
  • Experience supporting organizational growth, platform transformation, acquisition integration, or multi‑site technology environments is preferred.

Success Measures

  • System availability, service reliability, and user experience improve against established targets.
  • MSP and vendor performance is measurable, transparent, and consistently managed.
  • Integration failures, recurring incidents, and operational technical debt decline over time.
  • Microsoft 365, infrastructure, NetSuite, and Kantata services operate with clear ownership, support models, and roadmaps.
  • Security remediation and operational controls are executed on schedule in alignment with vCISO direction.
  • Technology spending, licensing, renewals, and contracts are actively managed and optimized.
  • The CIO has materially greater capacity for enterprise strategy, transformation, governance, and executive leadership.

Success Profile

The ideal candidate may come from infrastructure, enterprise systems, IT operations, security operations, technology services, or enterprise platform leadership. This person does not need to have held the exact same role before, but should have successfully owned major parts of this scope and be ready to step into a broader enterprise technology leadership mandate. The candidate should bring strong operational judgment, technical breadth, service and vendor management discipline, financial awareness, clear communication, and the appetite to grow from functional leader into enterprise leader. The best fit will be hands‑on, practical, structured, and comfortable building credibility through execution rather than relying solely on prior title or tenure.
