We’re partnering with a well-established organization that’s looking for a hands‑on cybersecurity leader to take ownership of its security initiatives and help mature an already solid security program.
This isn’t a compliance-heavy or governance-only position. They’re looking for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, securing Microsoft environments, owning enterprise security platforms, and continuously improving the organization’s security posture.
The ideal path will have been someone from Systems Administrator/Engineer Engineer → Security Engineer → Cybersecurity Lead/Manager.
We anticipate this position being 80% hands‑on (Lead individual contributor), 20% leadership/management. We are looking for both tactical work and strategic contribution to building a security program.

- Security experience with tools such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Rapid7, etc
- Experience securing enterprise environments
- Hands‑on cybersecurity engineering or security operations experience
- Comfortable balancing security with some infrastructure responsibilities
- Familiarity with NIST and enterprise security best practices
This role is ideal for someone who started their career in systems engineering or infrastructure and naturally transitioned into cybersecurity.
