Job Description
This role focuses on the company’s largest and most complex strategic customers. The incumbent will cultivate, own, and manage client relationships at all levels of the organization, serving as the trusted customer advisor. Responsibilities include maintaining the health and retention of the account, driving account revenue growth, expanding product and service offerings, and developing alternate revenue streams. The position leads efforts related to strategic initiatives, continuous support model improvements, and compliance to achieve contractual targets and performance metrics, collaborating extensively with customers, RRD stakeholders, and external print and service providers.
Responsibilities
- Manage account activities during and after the sale to enable Sales Representatives to focus on selling activities.
- Respond to customer requests and inquiries regarding current and future work.
- Resolve issues that arise during production of customer products; keep leadership and sales team informed of project status, progress, issues, enhancements, and modifications as required.
- Maintain accurate, complete, up-to-date standard operating procedures and detailed account history.
- Assist in the implementation and execution of products and services.
- Consult with Customers to understand business issues and goals, and work with customers to develop improved solutions to business needs.
- Work with Sales and Leadership to develop and prepare sales product presentations for up‑sell and new business opportunities.
- Identify customer needs and opportunities to secure new business in collaboration with Sales Representatives, Sales Management, and Leadership.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, new products, specifications, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and communicate new information to Sales Representatives.
- Assist in specific customer projects as assigned by sales management.
- Act as the primary agent of problem resolution and Customer Service enhancement.
- Work with Customer to manage their print and communication needs.
- Partner with Customer to ensure all goals and objectives are met on a project-by-project basis.
- Assist, maintain, and manage specifications, quoting process, and order entry.
- Guide staff in developing custom printing projects, including size, material, print recommendations, and researching new idea elements.
- Facilitate creation of prototypes and development of custom print pieces.
- Maintain all Customer compliance procedures and ensure the Customer’s branding guidelines are met.
- Work with vendors to ensure SLAs are met and products are received by the customer on time.
- Recommend moving print work to other sites/vendors when issues arise.
- Provide monthly reports on spend, internal vs. external source, and number of projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to functional work or role with 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Consistently identify critical elements, variables, and alternatives to develop solutions.
- Organize and prioritize existing resources, incorporating new information as needed to implement effective solutions.
- Apply excellent functional computer knowledge, utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC, or other technical tools to complete assignments.
- Demonstrate expertise in all tools or applications used to complete work assignments.
- Mentor junior level team members in the use of tools and/or systems.
- Explain programs, policies, and procedures in a language that is understood by others.
- Modify communication style, both formal and informal, to match the appropriate level of the targeted audience.
- Understand the impact of a message on the organization or customer.
- Occasional travel may be required.

The national pay range for this role is $77,900 to $124,600 per year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission, or incentive program.
