Position Overview

Our client is seeking experienced Manager Accounting Consultants to support a major Mobility divestiture and spin-off initiative. The project is creating increased accounting, financial reporting, treasury, benefits, and legal-entity workload across the organization.

These consultants will provide temporary surge support to accounting teams through the separation and carve‑out process, helping ensure critical financial reporting and transaction‑related activities remain on schedule through April 2027.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the team assignment, responsibilities may include:

• Supporting accounting and financial reporting activities related to the Mobility divestiture and separation.
• Assisting with month‑end close and corporate accounting activities.
• Preparing and analyzing balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flows.
• Supporting carve‑out financial statements and related reporting requirements.
• Assisting with legal‑entity restructuring and NewCo accounting activities.
• Performing treasury accounting, including foreign currency and derivative accounting.
• Supporting pension and benefits accounting activities.
• Assisting with corporate expense reporting and transaction‑related accounting.
• Performing account reconciliations, data validation, and financial data analysis.
• Supporting accounting system implementation/conversion activities.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional accounting and finance teams.
• Providing flexible support across multiple accounting workstreams as project priorities evolve.

Team Assignments

Three consultants will be assigned to different accounting teams:

Benefits Accounting

• Pension and benefits accounting
• Related financial reporting and carve‑out activities

International Accounting

• Treasury accounting
• International accounting activities
• Financial statement preparation
• Cash‑flow reporting
• Carve‑out financial statements
• Reconciliations and reporting support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Approximately 8–9 years of accounting experience .
• CPA is preferred.
• Strong financial reporting and accounting knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound critical thinking.
• Experience with divestitures, M&A, carve‑outs, or other complex transactions is highly desirable.
• Experience in a global manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Oracle Financials and/or SAP .
• Experience with Oracle FCCS/consolidation reporting is highly desirable.
• Relevant experience in pension/benefits accounting, treasury/FX/derivatives, or corporate financial reporting depending on team assignment.

This is a hybrid position based in Beachwood, Ohio .

• Thursday may vary based on business needs.
• Remote on Friday.
• Candidates will be expected to work onsite full‑time during the training period .
• Additional hours may occasionally be required due to the M&A/divestiture workload.
• Candidates should be local to the Northeast Ohio area.

Interview Process

The client plans to conduct a single‑phase virtual interview with the hiring manager and relevant team members.

Contract Information

This is a project‑based consulting assignment supporting the Mobility divestiture and is currently expected to run through April 30, 2027 . The position is intended as temporary surge support rather than a permanent role. Future opportunities may become available based on business needs, but conversion is not guaranteed.
