Additionally, this position does not currently offer visa sponsorship.ResponsibilitiesGeneral Accounting and Month End ActivitiesEnsure GAAP compliance in revenue, accounts receivable and marketing expenseManage a team of two senior accountants, overseeing multiple products, including the recognition of revenue, invoicing and reconciliationPerform monthly analysis of the credit memo reserve and ASC 606 estimatesHeavily involved in month-end close activities, including the review and preparation of journal entries (both revenue and expense), customer invoices, reconciliations and variance analysisPrepare quarter-end memos, analysis, reporting disclosures to the SEC team and other ad hoc requestsField requests and questions from the external auditors, business partners and other finance/accounting teammatesBilling and Cash ReceiptsOversee weekly and monthly customer invoicingAssist in the preparation and/or review of certain cash receipts and payment application against the respective invoicesInvestigate and respond to invoice questions, requests and payment discrepancies, as neededAccounting System / ProcessAct as the liaison between the accounting and technology teamsManage the reconciliation between source systems and the Accounting ERPTroubleshoot any transaction discrepancies between systemsDesign and implement accounting processes that support organization initiativesMaintain and implement controls to ensure SOX complianceOther DutiesAssist in new business projects/processesManage assigned accounting related projectsSupport audits as neededManage relationships with internal and external customersAny other dutie assigned by managementExperience / Training / EducationBachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field8+ years’ experience in the field (CPA preferred but not required)Experience with technical accounting analysis and memo writingAny similar combination of education and experienceExcellent work ethicSupervisory experienceKnowledge / Skills / AbilitiesMust be a strong leader and motivatorExcellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to take ownership and partner with the business leadersThorough working knowledge of revenue and accounts receivable and/or billing with significant understanding of General Ledger/GAAP impact.Computer skills: MS Word, intermediate to advanced MS Excel, intermediate to advanced MS Outlook, intermediate knowledge of the Internet.Ability to effectively utilize AI and automation tools to increase efficiency, improve accuracy and streamline processes.Effective oral and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects and deadlines.Ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction.Ability to interpret and apply required policies and procedures.Ability to work in a team environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.COMPENSATIONThe base pay for this position is $110,000-140,000, however, base pay offered may vary depending on internal factors, job-related knowledge, and candidate experience.INCENTIVE COMPENSATIONEligible for annual performance bonus/equity BENEFITSMedical, dental, and vision insurance and 401(k) matchingOUR CULTUREWe’re a collaborative, entrepreneurial team that values curiosity, creativity, and getting things done together.
