This hands-on role manages the full cycle of demand assessment, material planning, ensures accurate and timely ordering, Shipping/Receiving and provides leadership and support to a team of direct reports.
The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced setting, consistently meets deadlines, and fosters a culture of excellence.Responsibilities:Management: Inspire and lead Material/Planning Specialists, Engineering Stock Room (ESR), Shipping and Receiving team members. Maintain and improve procurement policies, procedures, and systems. Measure spending and savings, set reduction goals and manage projects to achieve success.Material Planning: Utilize MRP Process and validate key planning parameters, demands and business rules. Assesses demand trends, raw material shifts and capacity constraints to mitigate continuity of the supply to prevent line interruptions.
Oversee effort for planning and ordering of Wafer Substrate, Chemicals, Gases, Equipment Consumables, Equipment Repair Parts and Wafer Fab supplies. Support digital transformation via automation, predictive analytics, and optimization modeling.Inventory Management and Supplier Performance: Develop, manage and track inventory levels, inventory accuracy, material allocations and E&O KPI's. Optimize inventory using automated safety stock, EOQ, and linear programming models for allocation and inventory positioning. Work closely with Suppliers and coordinate MRP demand schedules with vendor shipments.
Evaluate and measure supplier performance, conduct supplier business reviews and implement improvements.Required Experience and Skills:Position requires a BS or MS degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management8+ years of experience in semiconductor material planning and team leadership roles; working in a cross-functional team environment.Solid understanding of MRP, inventory management, and forecasting principles.Familiar with domestic and international shipping requirements.Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, data mining and problem-solving oriented.Proficiency in advanced Excel, SQL, Business Intelligence and planning tools (SAP).Attention to detail and accuracy prioritization, and execution under tight timelines.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsBenefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
