AccountantGen II is seeking an Accountant to join its Management Company services department. This role requires a detailed and organized individual with the ability to manage several accounting projects simultaneously in a timely manner.
The role will be assigned to multiple private equity sponsors supporting the financial accounting and reporting requirements of their management companies.Primary responsibilities will include:Perform cash transaction processing and accounting including bank reconciliationsPerform fixed asset and prepaid expense accountingPerform payroll accounting including reconciliations to payroll provider recordsParticipate in the accounts payable process including invoice and journal entry review in partnership with accounts payable teamAssist senior team members with the completion of the monthly accounting cycle including journal entry preparation for expense accruals, equity-related activities and other transactionsAssist with the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures and workpaper creationAssist with the annual Form 1099 processAssist with new client set-upComplete "ad-hoc" and special projects as neededLiaise with client's third-party auditors and tax accountantsJob requirements, skills, education and experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field1-3 years of experience, preferably in public accounting and/or in the financial services sectorProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to design spreadsheets. Possess solid Excel skillsEnsure accuracy of financial books and recordsAnalytic thinker and problem solver. Offer solutions and recommendations to management teamAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesExperience with Sage Intacct a plusHeightened attention to detail, highly organized and efficientStrong written and oral communication skillsSelf-motivated individual with excellent inter-personal skillsSolid understanding of accounting theory and willingness to learnWorks well in a collaborative environmentThe salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offered within that range will depend on the candidate's experience level.Work arrangement:All applicants applying to Gen II Fund Services, LLC must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
