Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.

  • Serves as a management and program analyst supporting the development and/or interpretation of guidance on program planning, execution, and evaluation.
  • Performs a wide range of analytical studies and projects affecting major program areas, including policies, program objectives, operations, procedures, and resource use. Compiles and presents oral or written reports to a wide IRS audience.
  • Supports supervisor, team leader, analysts, or project managers, in the areas of, but not limited to: program management, response to Request for Information (RFI), personnel processing systems, contract administration, strategic communications planning/execution, workforce planning/forecasting, and other facility and/or security initiatives.
  • Assists with identifying methods to resolve or address deficiencies, develops process improvements, goals, objectives, and milestones, and supports the development and execution of employee training relating to program needs.
  • Uses information technology hardware and software applications (including but not limited to SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Space Time and Resources (STAR), Graphic Database Interface (GDI), and Knowledge Incident/Problem Service & Asset Management Program (KISAM)) to gather and interpret data, prepare reports, spreadsheets, policy statements, action plans, and illustrated presentations for delivery to FMSS executives and/or senior leadership.
