Management Analyst SMEThe Management Analyst SME reports to and receives work direction from the Project Manager and will provide support that includes the following activities:Responsible for handling requests requiring researching problem areas, drafting reports or other documents, inputting, deleting, retrieving, manipulating, and correcting information in automated databases or electronic recordsPrepare and present service or joint correspondencePrepare strategic documents for executive level approvalPrepare strategic communications strategy for executive level approvalConsult with non-technical audiences on technical problems, work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment, and balance long- and short-term tasksDevelop and maintain personal and professional contacts with senior civilian and military leaders and officials within DoDLead groups, negotiate compromises, and influence key leaders, customers and stakeholders involving problems or policy issuesPrepare correspondence, read ahead, reports, and other written materials for senior DOD officialsWork with stakeholders to adjudicate input to decision packages, resolve conflicts regarding oversight and governance processes within the organizationWrite briefings, decision memorandums, and other materials for senior DoD leadershipResponsible for project team manning and performanceParticipate in headquarters meetings and functions related to contract execution and project management dutiesPerform other related duties incidental to the work describedEducationPost-Graduate Degree requiredAttendance at Top Level School desiredExperiencePrior experience in a Pentagon staff / action officer positionExperience with classified information to include derivative classification requirements, original classification authority processes, and the process for declassifying information20+ years of experience working in the Department of DefenseCore Skills/Competencies Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesProven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines and competing requirements.
