- Perform mammography procedures while providing a safe, compassionate patient experience.
- Prepare and position patients for mammography procedures based on individual care needs.
- Communicate with patients throughout procedures to help them feel informed and comfortable.
- Collaborate with the breast care team to support coordinated patient care.
What We're Looking For
General Surgery practice is seeking a PRN, Stereotactic Biopsy Technologist to support our breast surgery team. This employee position is ideal for someone who is looking to pick up 1 or 2 days a week and has flexibility to fill in as needed. The Stereotactic Biopsy Tech will assist our 3 breast surgeons in performing in-office, image-guided breast biopsies. You will work with a seasoned clinical team committed to quality care and a calm, supportive patient experience. Availability on Monday's and Tuesday's is required as those are the days our surgeons perform stereotactic biopsy's in our office.
Required:
- Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program.
- Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography and Mammography – RT(R)(M).
- Certified and registered by ARRT in Bone Densitometry – RT(R)(M)(BD).
- Applicable state license.
- Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates Mammography equipment.
Preferred:
- 2 Year / Associate Degree.
- One year of experience in mammography.
