Mammography Technologist

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Radiologic Mammography Technologist with Dignity Health Medical Foundation, you will perform mammographic imaging procedures in our outpatient clinics.

Every day you will assist in preparing patients for examinations, relay instructions from the radiologist, capture usable diagnostic images, document patient data, and troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to avoid failures. You may be required to work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.

Job Requirements

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent program.
• Must be licensed by the State of California in CRT & Mammography. Candidates in the process of obtaining CA licensure may be considered, however CA license must be verified prior to start date.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA BLS).
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for proper operation of radiology diagnostic equipment and radiation safety.

Preferred:

• At least one (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist.
• Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment.
• Certification in Mammography through ARRT.
• Medical terminology and familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS.

Where You'll Work

You will work at Dignity Health Medical Foundation facilities located in the Greater Sacramento and Woodland areas.
