Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Radiologic Mammography Technologist with Dignity Health Medical Foundation, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you will perform mammographic imaging procedures in our outpatient clinics.
Every day, you will assist in preparing patients for Radiologic/Mammography examinations and relay instructions from the radiologist, help capture usable diagnostic images so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions, and collect patient data, documenting patient concerns, messages, and care provided in the patient’s medical record for the Radiologist’s review. You will also troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures. You may be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.

Job Requirements
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program.
- Must be licensed by the State of California in CRT & Mammography.
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA BLS).
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills are essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for proper operation of radiology diagnostic equipment and radiation safety is required.
Preferred:
- At least one (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist.
- Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment.
- Certification in Mammography through ARRT.
- Medical terminology and familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS.
