Job Title: Mammography Technologist

Site: Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC), Medical Imaging Department
Location: 4212 North 16th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85016
Duration: Long term contract
Shift Schedule: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sunday through Saturday
Credentialing/Onboarding Time: 6-8 weeks
Certifications:
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography
  • Qualifications meeting FDA MQSA requirements for Mammography
  • Current BLS certification
Experience Needed: Minimum 1 year of experience performing Digital Radiography and Mammography services.
Special Skills Needed:
  • Hands-on proficiency with the Hologic Dimensions 2D/3D Tomosynthesis unit
  • Independent performance of screening and diagnostic exams
  • FDA/MQSA and ACR quality assurance/quality control procedures
  • Documentation in RPMS, EHR, and PACS
  • Cultural sensitivity working with Native American, Spanish-speaking, and limited-English-proficiency patients
Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient identity and exam requirements
  • Prepare, position, and monitor patients for Mammography exams
  • Independently perform screening and diagnostic Mammography (2D/3D) within scope of qualifications
  • Perform FDA/MQSA and ACR-required QA/QC activities
  • Apply patient-safety and radiation-safety practices
  • Review images for technical quality
  • Document services accurately and timely in Government systems
  • Comply with PIMC infection-control, safety, privacy, and security requirements
